From November 1st to December 31st, the Design Shop at Copenhagen’s Dansk Arkitektur Center (DAC) will be hosting the pop-up exhibition ‘Art and Fashion as a Public Statement’ with Scandinavian clothing designers ARTiiG.
ARTiiG creates sweatshirts that are inspired by contemporary works of Architecture and art. LARSEN & ERIKSEN's unique watches similarly mould the principles of Danish design into a wearable accessory and are at home next to ARTiiG’s merging of art and fashion.
We have contributed to the exhibition with an interactive installation focusing on building blocks - architecturally speaking and brandwise - and how different perspectives may change your perception of objects and reality.
LARSEN & ERIKSEN's original Absalon Collection watch design has been deconstructed and splintered. With the aid of large magnifying glasses, exhibition viewers can become acquainted with the independent aesthetic value of each part of the whole - band, dial, case and movement.
DAC is open 10 am - 6 pm daily and ‘Art and Fashion as a Public Statement’ has free admission.
